I’m not an artist, but I try my best to make aesthetically pleasing graphic designs for the blog and I decided to have a bit of fun making graphics to promote my book. All my style, the way I like it. Like I do with my blog, I decided to take into account the eras of the stories and each band’s aesthetic when designing these graphics. I made graphics for all the chapters of the first section and one graphic for the second section. Not all musicians mentioned in the book will be in these graphics, but it’s still a good idea of what stories you can expect to find in the book. In most of these graphics, I put a song lyric from one of the musicians that I felt suited the mood. The first and last graphics don’t have that. Couldn’t think of one for The Band and I decided to make a little reference to the album I named the book after, Crime of the Century by Supertramp, an album that’s turning 50 this October!
